Dropping courses

Upon waiving a study service purchased on the basis of a semester/module/microdegree or credits, the study service fee is refunded either partially or in full if the waiver is recorded in the EBS electronic registration system MyEBS by the deadline specified in the table.

In such a case, the new price of the study service per semester is calculated in accordance with the price list and the waiving percentage is applied to the price difference.

The cancellation of courses by students participating in Continuing Education (Open University) and its refund percentage are regulated by the Principles of Organisation and Quality Assurance of Continuing Education at EBS (points 4.2-4.3). Cancellation is considered from the first school day of the selected course.

4.2. In the event of withdrawal from continuing education via the e-purchase environment or by written notice at least 3 working days before the start of the training, the registered participant is released from the obligation to pay the tuition fee. In case of later notification, the paid amount will not be refunded. For degree-level courses lasting more than two weeks, the learner is entitled to a 50% refund of the tuition fee if withdrawal is formalised in the e-purchase environment no later than the end of the second week of studies.

4.3. In the case of withdrawal from or interruption of a bachelor’s or master’s level course selected from the open courses later than the second week of studies, the tuition fee will not be refunded. If there is a valid reason for discontinuing studies, such as illness or a work assignment, the learner may select a new course from the continuing education offerings during the current or the following academic year.
