Online Language Support (OLS)
Not feeling confident in English? Or would like to get confirmation you speak English like native? Or want to get ahead and start learning the local language while you are still in Estonia?
During your exchange studies, you can have access to EU Academy’s Online Learning Support (OLS). In OLS you can take language tests in all 29 official languages of EU. It’s your chance to see how well you understand locals and if any additional learning is necessary or not. At the moment, for non-EU official languages (for example Japanese or Korean) there are no materials available.
If you wish to improve your skills, or just seeing the destination country’s language for the first time, you can also use the platform to take part of online courses and master the languages before even leaving to your destination!
To use OLS
- go to EU Academy;
- log into the system (can use national ID or school credentials);
- join Language Basic with Online Language Support;
- search for languages you are interested in and/or explore what is on offer.
Doing tests and learning the languages is not mandatory but highly encouraged. For locals, no matter if you end up in Oslo or Toulouse, Prague or Rijeka, locals appreciate your interest in their culture and language, and knowing a word or two will open you doors and gift you genuine smiles. Make the effort and see it paying off!
