Language requirements
An exchange student should be able to participate actively in the studies of the foreign university. Different lectures in English are offered in most European universities, so it is mostly not necessary to know the local language to participate in studies. Nevertheless, please always check if additional language knowledge is needed.
The required level of English for an EBS student is at least B2. Please note that some of our partner universities have the minimum language level C1. That means that you need a proof for that level once you make the application in their system.
With your application please also send in your English language test certificate (one of them):
- TOEFL iBT (minimum score of 87)
- IELTS Academic (International English Language Testing Service) minimum 5.5
- Cambridge test – FCE or CAE
- Duolingo test (minimum score 100)
- EBS language certificate stating the minimum level of B2 (ask EBS Language Centre). Grade in English is at least C.
