Language requirements

An exchange student should be able to participate actively in the studies of the foreign university. Different lectures in English are offered in most European universities, so it is mostly not necessary to know the local language to participate in studies. Erasmus+ will also implement online language tests, which are compulsory before and after period abroad.

The required level of English for an EBS student is B2.

With your application please also send in your English language test certificate:

• TOEFL iBT minimum score of 87
• IELTS Academic (International English Language Testing Service) minimum 5.5
• Cambridge test – FCE or CAE
• EBS language certificate stating the minimum level of B2 (ask EBS Language Centre). Grade in English is at least C.
