Autumn 2026 time schedule
Bachelor and master’s students who aim to graduate in autumn semester must submit the final thesis proposal form in Canvas by May 31st 2026 at the latest
Final thesis has to be chosen also in MyEBS by July 31.
- The final thesis proposal must be submitted in Canvas course (Course link HERE; you must push enroll in course to be registered to the course), where students can enroll themselves.
- The proposal form must be specifically on the form that is available on the proposal course homepage.
- Only proposals accepted by the supervisor continue in the final thesis process.
If the proposal is not approved or if you postpone the final thesis process, you must continue in the next semester and resubmit the proposal according to the schedule for the given semester.
In September, only those students whose proposals have been approved by their supervisors and who have enrolled to the thesis course in MyEBS will be added to the thesis courses in Canvas
Process for the bachelor’s thesis
- March 9-May 31 2026 Submission of the final thesis proposal in Canvas
- May 31, 2026 – Last day when the supervisor must approve the proposal in Canvas
- July 1–31, 2026 – thesis enrollment in MyEBS
- October 12, 2026 – thesis submission in Canvas to the supervisor for interim reporting
- October 19, 2026 – the interim report/confirmation regarding progress has to be submitted by the supervisor in Canvas
- November 28, 2026 – graduation requirements deadline
- December 18, 2026 – thesis submission in Canvas to the supervisor to be allowed to the final evaluation
- January 4, 2027 – the supervisor confirms (along with the filled-in rubric) that the student is allowed to the final evaluation
- January 11, 2027 – thesis submission in Canvas for final evaluation
- January 29, 2027 – the final grade is published
Process for the master’s thesis

- July 1–31, 2026 – thesis enrollment in MyEBS
- October 12, 2026 – thesis submission in Canvas to the supervisor for interim reporting
- October 19, 2026 – the supervisor submits the interim report/confirmation regarding progress in Canvas.
- December 2, 2026 – thesis submission in Canvas for supervisor evaluation
- December 9, 2026 – the supervisor evaluates the thesis pass/fail and provides comments for the final improvements.
- January 4, 2027 – thesis submission in Canvas for a reviewer evaluation.
- January 9, 2027 – The student will be informed of passing the final defence.
- January 11-15, 2027 – defenses of theses
