Financial support for winter school 2027 participation
During academic year 2026/2027 EBS is glad to offer for 5 highly motivated students a support to take part in their selected winter school programme.
Deadline for the application is the 3th of November at 5 pm!
How big is the support?
The support is meant to support the participation in winter school but will not cover all the expenses. Support is calculated with the following formula:
- 79€ per day
- 200€ for travel support
If the programme is 5 days long, the student will receive 5×79+200=595€. If the programme is 10 days long, the student will receive 10×79+200=990€.
The support can be used by the student to cover programme fees, accommodation, travel and/or living costs. The student needs to make sure they have financial means to undertake the programme. It’s important to check what the programme fee includes and what the student needs to cover themselves, to judge properly how much the whole programme would cost for the student.
The earned credits are transferred for free to EBS study programme, no APEL or course fee applies.
Please also note that the student might have to make the programme fee payment themselves before the support reaches them, as necessary paperwork with agreements needs to be done from EBS side!
How can I apply?
Please note, that for winter school 2027 support we prefer students, who do not have any previous experience under Erasmus+ programmes (be it long-term, short-term or internship) during current study level. We still encourage everyone to apply but we will review first non-experienced students’ applications.
To ensure that programmes are suitable for students, Bachelor level applicants should have studied for at least a year. If first-year students still wish to take part of the programme, they can apply but partner school might decline from accepting them.
Please also note that the applications are judged by their quality not by the time the application was sent.
To apply, please send a motivation letter to email exchangestudies@ebs.ee. Motivation letter criteria:
- needs to be written by the student, no AI help (yes, leave in even the grammar mistakes);
- can be done in English or Estonian;
- shouldn’t be longer than one A4;
- needs to give an overview of the programme that interests you – explain what about the programme and the school drew you in and how you see it would enhance your study experience at EBS.
Beside motivation letter we will also check your GPA (the higher the better) and in case of positive answer for your application, you also need to send us an English language certificate (EBS issued is accepted), as the winter school programmes are all conducted in that language.
Deadline for application is the 3th of November at 5 pm!
When do I receive the answer for my application and what comes next?
We aim to give all the applicants the answer on the 5th of November by email. If you are accepted, we will also outline the next steps regarding the registration for the programme and signing the agreement and the conditions of it. If needed, we will make a waiting list for the remaining applicants.
Financial support comes from Erasmus+ programme funding and relevant conditions and requirements apply for the students.
