Estonian Business School does not offer student housing, but we give you a couple of recommendations for good housing possibilities in Tallinn.
What to expect?
Finding some type of accommodation is not too hard. However, if you come for 4-5 months, it can be more difficult, as many private landlords look for year long contracts.
The prices vary depending on the location and the condition the apartment is in:
– For a room in apartment: ca. 150€-300€
– For an apartment (1-2 bedrooms): ca. 450€-700€
Most apartments/rooms are furnished, so you don’t need to buy furniture but it might be necessary to buy dishes, towels etc.
Larsen Houses offer rooms of various sizes in 5 apartment houses in Tallinn.
Eduard House – located in Kristiine district, 23 min bus ride
Rocca House – located in Haabersti district, 29 min bus ride
Campus House – located in Nõmme district, 40 min bus ride
Stereo House – located in Nõmme district, 40 min bus ride
Sume House – located in Mustamäe district, 35 min bus ride
Larsen houses offer a selection of fully furnished rooms, including stylish lofts, cozy studios and comfortable 1-bedroom units. Free WiFi is conveniently waiting for you. Larsen offers 24/7 customer support and will take care of any issue you may have with your room during your stay. Larsen offers spacious community spaces, fun events, fitness classes (free of charge). They care about having as little bureaucracy as possible so you can book and pay via website.
PRIVATE HOUSING
It’s possible to find housing through real estate sites. Do remember that often there is a fee for booking the place, usually one month’s rent. Be aware of scammers! We highly recommend contacting our ESN EBS (International Club) for help in navigating the market. They can also go and check the apartment out before you rent it or make any payments.
There is a Facebook group for Erasmus+/exchange students, that rent out rooms/apartments for short term. Many of our students have found a suitable place through that group. Once again, be aware of scammers and use the help of our ESN EBS (International Club) to confirm and check out the place.
