Slice student card

Starting early December 2022, EBS Helsinki students are entitled to the official version of the Slice student card. Slice is a mobile student card which, among other things, includes
VR and Matkahuolto discounts.
All EBS Helsinki students who have enrolled on courses or announced they are on an academic leave will get Slice starting 5.12.2022. You will receive a message from Slice to your EBS e-mail with instructions how to proceed.
Slice is free of charge.

Kindly observe that HSL discount is not included in Slice. You can read more about HSL discount at the end of this page.

ISIC card 

The International Student Identity Card is ordered at the office. ISIC is a physical card which offers student discounts in Finland and abroad.

The prices are:
First time ISIC: €3,90
Subsequent cards €7.50.

How to order an ISIC?

  1. Bring the exact amount in cash to the office.
  2. Send a clear facial picture to: karoliinaelise.korhonen@ebshelsinki.fi

The ISIC Card will normally arrive in 2 weeks to the office where you can pick it up.

KELA certificates and other official certificates of student status (for HOAS, etc.)

You can download study-related certificates (PDF) from https://my.ebs.ee/ by following these steps:

1) Login to MyEBS
2) Click the white human-like character in the top-right corner of the webpage
3) Click My account
4) Browse down to Certificates

The following study certificates are available in MyEBS: 

-Academic transcript 
-Certificate of student status 
-Certificate for KELA 

Official graduation documents (diploma, diploma supplement) cannot be downloaded from MyEBS.
Officially certified copies of graduation documents can be requested from info@ebs.ee

HSL public transportation discount

Students can get the discount forms for HSL at the EBS Helsinki office. The discount form is taken to a HSL service point, where the student discount is installed on a physical travel card (matkakortti). The transport company might have their own additional conditions (age, municipality of residence etc.) which you can check with them.

The HSL student ticket did undergo changes as of 1 January 2022, but these changes do not apply to the students of EBS Helsinki. The students of EBS Helsinki can still buy a student ticket at a discount on the HSL card by visiting an HSL service point. Keep in mind that the student discount entitlement must be renewed annually.
